Business Analytics Associate
Job Summary
The Business Analytics Associate will support data-driven decision-making
across construction operations, business development, and proposal planning.
The role involves analyzing internal job lead data, integrating external
regulatory datasets, developing analytical dashboards, and identifying new
business opportunities through structured data analysis.
This position is directly related to the employee’s academic Science in
Business Analytics (STEM) and provides practical training in applied analytics,
data ingestion, visualization, and strategic analysis.
Key Responsibilities
(Includes but is not limited to the following)
Data Ingestion & Engineering Support
- Analyze company job lead pipelines and operational review streams using structured and semi-structured data sources.
- Support data ingestion workflows using Azure data engineering tools (Azure Data Factory, Azure Storage, Azure SQL).
- Assist in cleansing, transforming, and validating datasets.
- Integrate external datasets including NYC Department of Buildings (DOB) violations, permits, and compliance data.
Data Analysis & Visualization
- Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards for job leads, compliance risks, and operational performance.
- Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends and anomalies.
- Generate actionable insights for management.
Business Intelligence & Opportunity Identification
- Identify potential construction and renovation opportunities using data.
- Prioritize job leads based on risk, compliance, profitability, and client needs.
- Prepare analytical summaries for leadership review.
Client & Proposal Analytics
- Support client requirement analysis and proposal preparation.
- Analyze feasibility, scope, timelines, and cost drivers.
- Translate business requirements into analytical recommendations.
Training & Professional Development
- Apply academic Business Analytics knowledge to real-world problems.
- Receive mentorship from senior management.
- Learn best practices in data ethics and compliance analytics.
Tools & Technologies
- Microsoft Azure (Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, Azure Storage)

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor or Master of Science in Business Analytics
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with data visualization and reporting
- Ability to work at least 20 hours per week
